these two people

My parents.

Seriously some the best people in all of God's creation. I couldn't have asked for more loving and supportive people to raise me and stand by me. They have supported me through all my life endeavors, good and bad, some they agreed with and some they didn't. My mom and dad have truly taught me how to love! How to live! How to give and forgive. I hope I can be a parent like them someday. I hope that God blesses me with a life that I'm able to give back to my posterity because of who they have been to me! These two brave people, without them, I would not be in this free land! Without their courage and faith and wisdom, I would not be who I am today. They are above and beyond type parents and the type of love they have for me, for all of me, is out of this world.

They are leaving to visit Romania for two weeks and I will miss them greatly! Va iubesc

Bahamian Cruise

My parents are so awesome that they took us on a Cruise for Thanksgiving! It was truly beautiful to see God's creation, both of nature and of humans. All the wonderful experiences made the feeling of gratitude abundant in our hearts. I truly feel grateful to have such great parents, such an awesome brother and an amazing future sister in law! Couldn't have asked for a better group to be with.

Above is a picture of our ship from a ferry ride, to a private island called Great Stirrup Cay.

All five of us.

A party on the beach at Great Stirrup Cay.

This was a fun shot to take on our last day, the camera is being balanced on my suitcase on top of the bed. This was outside of our "Stateroom" Balcony. The lingo on the ship was so much fun to learn.
Was a wonderful week full of adventures!

My brother is awesome! Seriously he's showering me with gifts, and he's the one living in New Orleans temporarily....

So far the soundtrack is awesome (listening to it as I type); I can't wait to see this flick, hopefully this weekend.

Thanks Bro! I miss your face

Mr. 29

This is my brother. He's one of the most loved people I know. He's well deserved it and lived up to this status because of his enthusiasm for everyone he meets, his ability to make anyone feel special and important, his childlike laughter, his wise perspective on what's important in life. I consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world to have been raised with him my whole life.
Here are a few things that I hope he realistically incorporates into his life.

Keens from Piperlime, click above to purchase these bad boys.
He's not a sandals person, but I thought this might be a compromise since his toes aren't exposed. He's in dire need of a belt, reversible is a convenient way to go. This look is simple and can be casual or dressy. click on image to be directed to Amazon for purchase.

Let me know, Dre, when you're ready for cologne and we'll go from there! I love you no matter what you wear.

my momma's garden

if you know my mother, then you know her childlike, energetic, laughing, determined personality. when she gets something in her head, there's just no stopping her. since i am so blessed to be able to live with her currently, i get to see her at work daily! and this is her latest love....her garden. i often times go to bed and wake up to her right outside my window tediously caring for each plant she's tending to. i admire her in many ways. and this is just one of her ways of expressing her artist, nurturing, attention to detail natured momma.
check out that fresh bell pepper
dill and rosemary

a lot of times she'll be cooking up something good and say "wait wait wait" and she scurry out to the garden and grab some fresh herbs and proudly throw them into her dish

who knew banana peels help plants grow, this lady knows her stuff
fresh herb collection, just picked, ready to dry out.
two types of basil, mint, dill, many others not shown.
her lovely eggplants
look at all that green onion
the front yard project
some of her favorite flowers hydrangeas

this band never left our wrists, it was our all inclusive pass to all you can eat and drink
