Depth

Is it just me or are people not as deep anymore? It seems like life, both real life and life on the internet are filled with shallow surface level interactions. In my counseling program, it even takes work to get to a deeper level. This simple image below can be an example of the depth of a person. Most people seem to operate in the outside circles of 3 and 4 the majority of the time and rarely interact in the first and second inner circles. As I have learned in my degree, to be a good counselor I have to be more comfortable communicating at a deeper level for myself. As I learn to be comfortable with a sense of transparency I can help others achieve this as well. Lets all start with ourselves!
