Bahamian Cruise

My parents are so awesome that they took us on a Cruise for Thanksgiving! It was truly beautiful to see God's creation, both of nature and of humans. All the wonderful experiences made the feeling of gratitude abundant in our hearts. I truly feel grateful to have such great parents, such an awesome brother and an amazing future sister in law! Couldn't have asked for a better group to be with.

Above is a picture of our ship from a ferry ride, to a private island called Great Stirrup Cay.

All five of us.

A party on the beach at Great Stirrup Cay.

This was a fun shot to take on our last day, the camera is being balanced on my suitcase on top of the bed. This was outside of our "Stateroom" Balcony. The lingo on the ship was so much fun to learn.
Was a wonderful week full of adventures!

Inside "The Pearl"

As you know, I have relocated. My new place is wonderful! It's called The Pearl, from LOST, since I live in the woods in a mobile home. I love being surrounded by nature. I've got lots of room to myself and I'm enjoying living alone for the first time. It's almost too easy.

Here are some visuals.

The living room, with the couches I got from Dallas off Craig's List. Love 'em.
The view from the front door looking into the dining room on right and kitchen on left.

My project/art room. Still haven't found organization yet. Need another piece of furniture.
My workout room, love the wood floors! One day I'd like to have mirrors lined up on the wall and have a yoga studio or belly dance also.

going to be a bulldog

its that time to actually talk about what's going on in my personal life...

basically, it is all changing.

i have moved back to my old college town of Ruston, Louisiana. i start as assistant teacher at a Montessori school there next week! and i will be attending the grand school of Louisiana Tech...again. i start some undergrad prerequisites this September. it is anticipated that i will begin a graduate program for the Winter quarter in Counseling and Guidance.
all these changes are quite exciting!
i am enjoying my new home...i've got plenty of space! a bedroom, a workout/yoga/belly dance room, and a project/art/computer room!
other than a few furry pest visitors, its been a pleasure living in the woods! my home is called "The Pearl"...for all you LOST fans.
i'll try to keep you updated on any other major changes.

A blogger's confessions

  • I promise I will start posting my own photos as soon as I find the little connector for the camera into the computer. And as soon as I start taking pictures...

  • The weirdest thing is that I come up with ideas to write about and as soon as I sit in front of the computer screen my mind goes blank. This box that lights up just doesn't inspire me. My journal does, but after I've expressed my thoughts there I refuse to do it twice.

  • I love Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carey, I realized that while watching Oprah. I never watch that show, I promise.

  • While I already opened up the Celebrity can so I will spill that I like Miley Cyrus.

  • I am not the greatest writer, and don't communicate the way I would like to on computer. On that note, I did come up with a little theory....People that write with a lot of personality on the web, usually don't have that showy of a personality in real life. People that keep things a bit more mysterious in cyberspace have more to offer when you meet them in person. I have a few experiences where on the web someone was so super friendly and then when I saw them in person it was like a completely different person. And vice-versa with the more reserved type. And no, I'm not talking about on-line dating...

That's all I got for now.
